I found Wilshire Appliance Repair after a late-night Google search for g.e. appliance repair in Los Angeles, CA. Our GE refrigerator was cooling on and off, freezer was acting weird too, and food was starting to go. Not great. I called in the morning and they got someone out pretty fast.
The tech showed up on time, which honestly already put them ahead. He was polite, knew GE units well, and got right into it without dragging things out. He checked the temperature, airflow, back panel, a few other things, then explained the issue in simple words. Bad evaporator fan motor. Pretty common, apparently. He had the part with him, fixed it the same visit, and made sure everything was running before he left.
What I liked was it didn’t feel salesy. No weird pressure, no trying to add stuff we didn’t need. Just solid g.e. appliance repair and done right. He also gave a couple tips on settings and how not to overload the fridge, which was helpful.
By that evening the refrigerator was cooling normally again and the freezer was back where it should be. Huge relief.
